I know my
limits. 13 laps around
the yard is a mile.
Of course, I walk a bit out so it’s not exact but I do
know
that if I give out, I can make it home.
Same goes with riding a stationary bike.
I can ride several miles and
still be home in time for supper.
If you swim in the deep in of the pool you must be able to
make it to the
edge or else, you could be in trouble.
But being safe doesn’t mean you shouldn’t push yourself.
One more lap when walking, one more set of commercials
while riding the
stationary bike.
As for swimming, I walk out to where I feel comfortable
then swim
crosswise. If I give out I put my feet down.
That doesn’t keep me from swimming
one more lap before
calling it quits for the day. Push yourself a bit further
and in
a week or a month, see how much you have accomplished.
